That's why we created the Decorex Hardware Foundation Block.

A great alternative to concrete deck blocks. Easy to use for quick deck building. They are very versatile and can accept 1.5 "- 2" Joists and Bearers as well as 3.5 "x 3.5" and 4 "x 4" posts. Our blocks have been pressure tested. They can withstand a pressure of more than 5 tons (11,000 lbs). We specially designed center bumps and side cutouts to prevent water pooling around the lumber. The very low design of our Foundation Block makes it possible to create a low profile deck. We designed them to be light and stackable for easier transport and storage.
